Tia, who works with Thrive USA Personal Care as a care assistant for elderly veterans, was presented with a 2005 Toyota Sienna last Friday. Along with her job, Tia is a single mother and is enrolled at FCC, where she begins class in the Spring. Congratulations Tia! However, without her own personal transportation, caring for a child, going to work, and attending school is a daunting schedule. With the vehicle she will receive, Tia will gain the independence and confidence to tackle her commitments, creating the path to success. She was referred by Joyce of United Way of Frederick County, through the Pathway to Transportation Car Program. This is a collaborative program between United Way of Frederick County and Second Chances Garage.
