It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of John Frawley, a beloved long-time member of our organization’s board.
John, started as a volunteer with Second Chances Garage after meeting Rick at an automotive event in 2012. He used his automotive knowledge and background to help us by working on cars, processing dealership paperwork, and advising our growing team. In 2014, he was asked to join the Board of Directors and graciously accepted. Although not true, he loved to tell folks that “we made him join the board so he would stop breaking stuff in the shop.” He served in various capacities, including Chair and Vice Chair of the Board until this year. His impact on our mission and vision is immeasurable, and his presence will be deeply missed.

As we mourn the loss of John, let us also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of leadership, compassion, and service. We are forever grateful for John’s contributions and his profound mark on SCG. His heart was with SCG since he first stepped in the front door. He was greatly admired, trusted, and a great friend; he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories shared and the enduring impact of John’s remarkable life.

Rest in peace, dear friend. Your spirit will live on in the work we continue to do.
