Program Car Recipient Joyce

On Friday, July 15, 2022, Joyce was presented with a 2010 Ford Escape. She is a single parent who previously had a vehicle, but the cost of repairs was no longer affordable. Unfortunately, she had to let the car go as a result. Without personal transportation, Joyce was using rideshare services to get to work and school, and even had to request rides from friends to go grocery shopping. With the vehicle she received, Joyce can now go to work and school, run errands, and take her child to activities on their own time.

Joyce was referred by Veronica of United Way of Frederick County, through the Pathway to Transportation Car Program. This is a collaborative program between United Way of Frederick County, Second Chances Garage, Dynamic Automotive, Woodsboro Bank, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Thank you Doug for donating the Escape and helping the Frederick community!
